How This Upcoming Debate Can Make or Break Who College Students Vote For

This presidential election has been one of the most controversial elections in recent memory. With two polar opposite candidates and not one stand-out candidates it leaves not just adults, but college students wondering who to vote for. Each candidate has their ups and downs, so we compiled a list of where each candidate stands on what issues and policies matter to us. With Hillary Clinton for the Democrats, and Donald Trump for the Republicans, we deal with an election that has both parties fighting for answers. After a bit of research we found 2016election.procon.org  which provided us with each candidates stance on many different issues. Below we provide a list for each candidate that pertains to the daily issues and policies our country deals with.

Hillary Clinton (D)

  1. Should Law Enforcement be allowed to use racial profiling?
    • Opposed to law enforcement using racial profiling.
  2. Should the Death Penalty be allowed?
    • Supports the death penalty.
  3. Should any Federal Taxes be increased?
    • Federal taxes should be increased.
  4. Should any public colleges/universities be tuition-free?
    • All for some public colleges being tuition-free.
  5. Is a nuclear arms deal with Iran good for America?
    • Thinks that a nuclear arms deal with Iran was beneficial.
  6. Should more gun control laws be enacted?
    • Thinks there should be more gun control laws including greater background checks.
  7. Should abortion be illegal?
    • Thinks abortion should be legal.
  8. Should the federal government use raids to enforce immigration laws?
    • Does not think that raids should be used to enforce immigration laws.

Donald Trump (R)

  1. Should Law Enforcement be allowed to use racial profiling?
    • Supports law enforcement using racial profiling.
  2. Should the Death Penalty be allowed?
    • Supports the death penalty.
  3. Should any Federal Taxes be increased?
    • Federal taxes should not be increased.
  4. Should any public colleges/universities be tuition-free?
    • Against public colleges being tuition-free.
  5. Is a nuclear arms deal with Iran good for America?
    • Thinks that a nuclear arms deal with Iran was non beneficial.
  6. Should more gun control laws be enacted?
    • Thinks there should be no gun control laws.
  7. Should abortion be illegal?
    • Thinks abortion should be illegal.
  8. Should the federal government use raids to enforce immigration laws?
    • Thinks that raids should be used to enforce immigration laws.
